A Ramadan activity book for kids aged 5 to 10
- Calm, screen-free time: 8 colouring pages, 3 mazes, 3 word searches and 2 dot-to-dots, from easy to hard. A 5-year-old and a 10-year-old each find their own page.
- The month in 30 boxes: a calendar from Day 1 to Day 30. Each day, your child colours a box or draws a sticker in it, and writes down a kind act if they want to. 30 ideas help: setting the table, calling a grandparent, watering a plant…
- Noticing kindness: a kindness jar with 30 small shapes to colour after each kind act, 10 “Thank you for…” frames and a page of memories from the month.
- In the kitchen together, no cooking: date bites and a rainbow fruit salad, with “with an adult” steps, a safety box, an allergy box and a nut-free option.
- Getting ready for Eid: a checklist, 4 greeting cards to colour and cut out, a lantern garland, then the “finished my Ramadan activity book” certificate.
- Respectful of your family: no people or animals drawn, only lanterns, the crescent moon, stars, dates, rosettes and a simple stylised mosque. No rules, no dates, no times. Every activity is optional.

Who it is for
For parents and grandparents of children aged 5 to 10 who want a calm, screen-free colouring and games activity with a Ramadan theme, and a way to include children in the month (the table, decorations, Eid) without setting any practice for them. Big family? Print one copy per child.
Who it is not for
Not for anyone looking for a religion course, religious texts to learn, stories of the prophets or Arabic alphabet practice. Not for children under 5. Not for anyone expecting a printed book in the post or a bilingual book.
Questions
When does Ramadan 2027 begin? Astronomical calculations place it around 8 February 2027, depending on the sighting of the crescent moon and on each country. The book is undated: days run from 1 to 30, and you can print it again every year.
My child does not fast. Is the book still for them? Yes. The book does not ask any child to fast and does not count fasting days. That decision belongs to your family.
My child is 5 and cannot read yet. The colouring pages, dot-to-dots and the easy maze need no reading; an adult reads the short instructions aloud. The word searches and the hard maze are best for ages 7 to 10.
Why no people or animals? Many families prefer these images left out. The book only uses patterns and objects: lanterns, crescent moon, stars, dates, rosettes, a stylised mosque.
Is it a religion course? No, it is a games and colouring book. It gives no rules and quotes no texts. For religious questions, please ask a qualified person in your community.
Are the recipes safe for kids? They need no cooking and no heat, and an adult stays from start to finish. Check each child’s allergies: every recipe has its own allergy box.
Our month has 29 days. Box 30 covers it: your child colours it to celebrate the end of the month.
Do I get a printed book? No: 2 PDF files to download, US Letter and A4. Print at home or at a print shop, as many copies as your family needs. One purchase, no subscription, for personal use.
Is it available in other languages? Yes, in 11 languages, sold separately. The word searches are rebuilt in each language.
